Authentic vintage purses that are also lovely works of art are a little slice of fashion history and much beloved by those who own them. Many folks have more than one!
These beautifully hand-painted vintage handbags are created by our artist Dean. Dean is also my dad!
We find true vintage purses and use them as a canvas for mid-century pinstriping designs. Each is unique, there are no stencils or reproduction of any kind. The art is painted freehand directly onto the purses.
About the Artist
Both of Dean & I have chronic conditions that cause great amounts of pain. It’s been a bit of time since we’ve posted new art from Dean but more will be coming in ‘23.
Dean has been pinstriping since the 1970s and also enjoys fabricating art from metal and found items. You can read more about him and see more of his purse designs here.
