Another Fantastic Piece of Skull Decor by our Artist Dean
Our Skull Decor is a serious way to make a statement! A most bad-ass gift, or home decor item. A flamed and pin-striped human skull!
Okay, so it’s not actually human — but this baby is just about life size and rock solid.
Beautifully detailed in a classic von Dutch style by our artist Dean (read more on him in our About section). Very unique and quite a show piece.
A perfect home addition for collectors and novelty lovers of all things rockabilly / psychobilly / goth / kustom kulture or just the bizarre!

Better late than never, a few images from our time at Sled Fest in Duncannon, PA.
Sled Fest is a rockabilly themed, pre ’72 car show held at the Old Sled Works antiques shop. If you’ve never been to Old Sled Works it’s definitely worth the trip. The place is huge and it’s jam packed full of collectables. We didn’t have a lot of time to peruse with running our stand, but what we did see was awesome. We nabbed a Radio Flyer trike for the wee one (which is now pin-striped!) Definitely planning a trip back.
Along with the show and the antiques, the good folks from Retro Lovely magazine were there. They were shooting pin-up photography at the soda fountain inside.
There was a car show (the event is put on by the Hooligan’s Car Club) and also a pin-up contest. A lot of great folks were there including the owners of Atomic Cheesecake pin-up photography (Baltimore).
We made a lot of great connections and had an all around great time. The pre-party the night before at the River City Blues Club (Harrisburg, PA) was great, with awesome bands including Trio Agave, a surf rock band hailing from Lancaster, PA.
See you next year! Were you there? Drop us a line, let us know what you thought!

Happy to announce that Grease and Grace will be vending at this year’s 2015 Sled Fest at the Old Sled Works in Duncannon, PA. It’s sure to be a super time and we’ll be excited to meet up with more rockabilly East Coasters. The scene here isn’t as congregated as on the West Coast. It’s a bit smaller and more spread out, so I’m really glad for events like this helping to propel the Rockabilly Scene.
“In 1904, Lightning Guider sled production began in this two block long factory along the Appalachian Trail. For nearly 85 years, millions of sleds and other wooden products (coaster wagons, safety gates and porch swings) were proudly built here and shipped throughout the US. At one point, this had become the largest sled factory in the country.
Sadly, production ceased in 1988 and the factory officially closed in late 1990.
In April 1991, the buildings re-opened as the Old Sled Works, a unique market featuring over 125 antique and craft vendors. A sled museum is also inside. Amuse yourself in the working penny arcade and have a milkshake at our vintage soda fountain.”
Based on information I’ve collected from past years, this is what to expect:
The festival is the creation of Hooligan’s Car Club and The Old Sled Works. It will feature music, food vendors, pre 1972 cars, antiques and vendors with merch (like us!), lots of pin up girls and a contest for Sled Queen! The Sled Works, with its old fashioned soda fountain and snacks, will be open as well.
There’s a facebook page for the fest, which will be updated as the event nears.
If you are coming to this blog from outside our website, Grease and Grace is a family shop consisting of three artisans. We feature retro-inspired art, kustom kulture and rockabilly style designs, home decor, pin-striped vintage purses and varying styles of fine art.
